Nick @ Proof Cocktails and Lounge gave me some additional details on this bottling. It was from a 13 year old barrel according to the staff at the time of bottling. I could tell the age difference from the color and the oak levels in the glass.

Great pour classic Michters profile. It’s like a normal barrel strength but everything was dialed up to a 9. Richer deeper notes that showcase how good a ‘lower proof’ bourbon can be. The Fort Nelson bottlings provide a unique single barrel expression for the lucky ones that get their paws on them and act as a great storytelling item. You bring home the box, the memories and the experience to share with others. Cheers.
