Copper with dark red hues
Nose
viscous and rich umami, soy sauce, vanilla soaked oak, sweet cream, custard, faint orange chocolate. Damp musty Rickhouse. Back to very rich vanilla extract.
Palate
Umami, baking spice, soy sauce. Classic and rich turkey funk. Vanilla, lots of medicinal cherry cola with a tinge of almond cream. This is GOOD stuff.
Finish
ends with a cherry soaked rye note or baking spice with cherry flavor. Mild Kentucky hug that lingers a bit. Drys to oak tannins.
Verdict
RR13 carries deep rich flavors and has a particular unctuous quality that I haven’t seen that carries from the front of the nose straight down to through the finish. It’s a ride of creamy, aged,cherry cola
