Appearance
Orangish yellow, noticeably more viscous than normal OGD 114. Medium-short legs.
Nose
Orange, orange zest, caramel, cola, fruit(grape/cherry), vanilla, rye spice, rickhouse, oak, antique musk.
Mouthfeel
Medium. Leaning thinner side.
Palate
Cola, black tea, baking spice, lemon, cherry near the back of the palate, pepper. Classic OGD notes with a bit more fruit complexity. Delightful indeed!
Finish
Medicinal cherry, baking spice, anise, mint, pepper, tannins, dry oak. Reminds me of a lighter, spice forward Bookers
Verdict
A great expression. Love the age statement, upped complexity and price point. Bravo Jim Beam.
